First time w/ Studio Calico card kit.

" Aughhhh This pattern is too big for card making ! "

That's my complain when I make cards.

Just tired of all the pattern on pattern are too big for the card.
I knew there are 6x6 paper pad out there but not all of them in the pad are cute tho.

So I've decided to purchase a card kit from Studio Calico.
I gotta said I never disappointed with their kit.
This Block party kit is really cute !
It's cheery and fun. Perfect for start your 2013.

Let's take a look at my card.
I made this " Happy Birthday" Card
using card kit and added this Pink paisley Heart Artisan Chipboard
from the scrapbook add-on kit.

DSC09675

Since the kit came with yellow floss I was try to think of the way to make it useful
beside using it to tie a bow. I poke holes on the card then stitch it.

DSC09677

And to give some color to those heart chipboards I use Mister Huey.
It's so bright and bold !

Thank you for stoping by everyone.
I'm so excited to see all the new products coming out after CHA.

It's not even January yet but I'm so excited for Valentine !
Who wouldn't ?
A season to spread your love.
Last week I went to Archivers
and ran into a massive Valentine scrapbooking supplies.
But what make me even happier is
They have Crate Paper Fourteen collection in store.
You know how big Archivers store is but
I can hardly see they have Crate paper supplies in store.
Last one I sew in there was " Emma's Shop "
So when I see these line I just grabbed all of Fourteen collection that they have in store.
Once I get home I just start making Valentine's card right away.
and here is one of them.
" I'm all yours "

I always do . . .

Honey , I'm home !
- - - - - -
So glad to be back in my studio and able to start crafting again
although this time jet lag had me and
make me woke up at 3 am every morning.
I still manage to look through Pinterest to get inspirations.

Along with my lovely jet lag friend
I got wisdom teeth pulled 3 days before my flight and
it had happen to be a minor surgery since my teeth was laid horizon with the gum.
4 stitches later I'm still alive but it hurts so darn much !

'nuff said.
I arrive home with a big box of Studio Calico November kit and add-ons waiting for me.
After unpacking all the dirty clothes from Thailand.
I start to play with stamp sets that came in this month kits.
" Love 'em all "

Make this quick card just to remind myself.
- ALWAYS DO WHAT YOU LOVE -

Stay tune with me.
I'll be back with more projects after I'm done playing catch up with all my DT assignment ^_^

I can't use any other fonts that I have *sigh*
About this card it's simple and super easy to make.
First I print " and explore the world " on pattern paper.
Then I use glitter splattered technique .
Adhere word Smile that i cut out using foam adhesive.

You are adorable !

Who's most adorable in you eyes ?
Your husband ?
Your kids ?
Your pet ?
Whoever they are.
Thanks them for making you smile.
- - - - - - -
I have make this card for my hubby.
I think he have a huge adorable side in him that most people can't see.
I'm glad that I get to see it.
And he said I'm the one who get his adorable side out of him.
Let's take a look at this card.
I know , I know it's PINK
but pink is perfect !
On this card I use stamp I bought from $1 bin at Michaels.
I'm seriously addicted to their $1 bin. So many cute stamp.
Make me wonder how could they sell them for $1 and still make profit ?

DSC07915

Then add glitter tape that cut in half. I make a slope cut to add some fun in to it.
Don't worry about this card will be to plain because
this dimensional flower sticker from Amy's sketch book collection totally
give it a break from being plain.
It's just pop right out !
In this period of time my most favorite thing to give my project
a little splattered effect is not ink but this lovely enamel.
Just love them so much ! Can actually use on all of the projects I'm working on.

Thank you so much everyone for stopping by.

Be anything You want to be

Hello everyone ^_^
It has been a crazy busy week for me.
With all the packing and unpacking it drains away all my creativity.
We aren't even talking about my sore shoulder muscle and
physically pain from lifting furniture here.
Anyway it's now almost over with.
I just have a little more to knick knack stuff to unpack
 ( mostly scrapbooking supplies lol ) .
Lately I'm so enjoy crafting.
It makes me think about this quote my dad always tell me since I was little
" You can be anything you want to be "
Yes he did told me that
and now it has come true.
I'm in love with what I'm doing.
I can actually called myself a crafter.
It's what I always wanted to be !
Then I found this quote label sticker.
Just caught my eyes and make me want to make this card for a good friend of mine.
Just to encourage her to be what she always wanted to be instead of wasting time do a job that she hate.
On this card I use PINK shade from the Sweetest Things collection ( My minds eye )
It's a mini card. about 3"x 2"
Use brads set and add a little fringe glitter I cut from glitter tape.

Here is closer look.

Use epoxy on your card.

Hello everyone !
It's almost weekend again.
My last visit to Archivers, I was looking for something triangle to use on my card
but hardly find anything that I like.
Then I ran into Epiphany Crafts square epoxy and it gives me an idea
how to use them to make my card "POP" with triangle object.
Let's take a look how I use them !
On this you are the best I use Crate Paper Little Bo Peep yellow flower pattern paper as card base.
Then I splattered black Mr.Huey ink on it.
For epoxy I use Crate Paper Pretty Party pattern paper and glitter tape under.
Cut them in half.

DSC07776

Let's take a closer look on this little things.

DSC07778

Tips
  • Square epoxy is very hard you might want to use some stronger scissor to cut them otherwise it might totally ruin your scissor.  ( I use Timholz scissor on them )
  • I've try to use glitter paper under epoxy but none of them are good so I tried glitter tape and they works like magic !
  • Make sure you stamp you sentiment before adhere epoxy ( this is very important )

I can't resist mint green.

Do you know " Mint Green " ?
If you do please let she know that I'm in love with her ^_^
This summer there's a color that I see everywhere I go.
It's MintGreen. Green is actually not my favorite but this kind of green get me crazy !
Last week I ordered Hey Days Fabrips by Studio Calico It said aqua on the description.
But once I receive it. It blew my mind away !
I just have to use it right NOW. There are no business of me to make an invitation.
But who's care ? So I make this quick cut mini card.
" You are invited "
On this card I use special stamp that came out last month.
It's free when you order $100 worth of stuff on Studio Calico.
( That's more than my scrapbook supplies allowance so it's a secret between us, OK ? )
I cut out fabrips in to strip. Adhere onto white card stock then stamp with " You're invited " sentiment.

I have this lovely color ink pad Versa Magic Dew Drop that goes perfect with fabrips.
So I use it on confetti stamp.
Then inked all over Tweets Wood Veneer from Elmwood Park kit with Versa Magic Dew Drop Pink Grapefruit color.

Put the all together. Then you have it. A quick and easy invitation for any fun party.
I'm now looking for some Mint Green t-shirt. If you know where can I get it gimme a shout !

Pink cards

It's crazy how much I think about my favorite color.
When I was younger I afraid to tell people what my real favorite color is
and I always try to hide that by telling them my favorite color is "WHITE"
just so they can stop bugging me.
Then I realize that wasn't fair because my favorite color is " Pink "
I didn't wanna say it out loud because it's a girly color.
and I was a tough girl lol so pink will ruin my reputation.
Yeah called me crazy.
But now I'm married and grown up ( just a little bit )
Mature enough to tell people that my favorite color is Pink. Do you hear it  ?
PINKKKKK
- - - - - - - - - - -
Today projects that I have to share with you are pink. Let's take a look.
Happy Birthday card. Using Crate Paper Pretty paper collection. It's so perfect for this !

" You are so sweet "
A super easy and cute mini card I make. A lot of people use type writer on their scrapbook layout but I love using it on my cards for typing sentiment when I can't find a perfect stamp for cards.

Thank you for stopping by everyone. Now I'm off to clean up my mess in craft room lol

My most favorite technique " Glitter matted "

Let's take a look what I have crate with this month kits.
