Magnolia cupcakes

My best friend called me " Cupcake" not just 

because she adored me but it's because my love for cupcakes.

So when i visited Chicago the first thing I searched on my map is "Cupcake" 

It has shown several of them but one that i wanted to go the most is >>>

Magnolia Cupcake.

I've heard so many good thing about it there is no way 

that I will pass on the chance to get a bite of them !

This layout I'm using Spencer's Kit ( Studio Calico April Main kit )

Color on the kit a little bit on the boyish side.

Not my fav but I work it out .

Love this alpha stickers. Need a lot more of them for project life ^_^

I layered a few different things here as you can see : Photo, pattern paper, doily, vellum,plastic frame,die cut and another pattern paper.

That grey die cut sheet I use card stock paper that came in the kit and cut using Dear Lizzy Lucky charms die cut file on Silhouette Cameo.

and title cut from card stock. 

Of course there are no finish layout without washi tape.

This month kit came with really wide grey chevron washi tape.

Hello Chicago

If you were following me on Instagram the past week.

 I'm sure you might already have seen some of my photos from the Eastern US trip.

It' was a really fun and interesting trip.

Grad to get to see something beside the Rockies ^_^

Since last month I was so busy with some new opportunity that came across. I didn't have much time to scrapbook I didn't get to open my Studio Calico kits until the 20th

Even though I was really wanted to play with mask that came with the kit I have to wait until today.

But it was worth the wait.

Also I have a lot of photos to put into layout anyway.

And here is a lay out that I put together.

" Hello Chicago" 

I was too lazy to print out my photo but luckily.

I took multiple shots of this silver jelly bean ^_^ with my instax camera.

On this layout I use Kesi' art paper as inspiration.

With soft pink and yellow color just make me want to put something bold on to it.

So I use Mr.Huey's spray ink in real red color over the mask.

Added some bigger blots on my layout.

Don't forget some banners.

Die cut sticker with foam adhesive.

Then I use Amy Tangerine's Yes,please rub on.

Just love this city rub on ! I wish they make 100 of this on one sheet ^_^ 

Now I gotta get back and catch up with my more paper craft projects !

Living in Colorado make me crave for some beach time !

So on Thailand trip I spent 1/3 of my trip in Phuket.

White sand and blue ocean.

A glass of margarita...

Just a perfect vacation. 

And a big break from the Rockies lol

This is so neat !

Hello there my creative friends.

As you all know how much I LOVE paper.

So on our way back from Thailand I just couldn't resist 

to walk around Narita Airport in Japan to look 

for some pretty paper that they use in Origami.

And I found this gigantic and amazing origami in one of the store.

I've put together a layout for photo that I took.

Neat isn't it ?

On this layout I use partially embellishment from Studio Calico November kit. 

Which I haven't use even haft of what I ordered while I was in Thailand.

And now December kit is already on it way lol

and that lovely "Neat" wood veneer is a new product from Freckled Fawn 

I misted it with gold Mr.Huey's mist.

Last weekend I went to Archivers with my friend and 

I found Amy Tan new collection.

These leaf has make a huge come back again this fall after her first collection.

They are perfect for a lot of projects.

Pyrex Bowls

It's Friday woo hoo !

Friday for me means one thing ...

ARC thrift store will be 50% off on most items.

That means I can go hunt for Pyrex bowls to full fill 

my obsession with out feeling guilty lol

On this layout about my Pyrex bowls 

I use Studio Calico Central high kit.

Love the color scheme on this.

I don't wanna have the page to busy.

So I kept it simple with minimal embellishment and no layers.

My most favorite thing about this kit is Amy's alphabet stickers.

They are so awesome how they looks like they are painted with ombre technique.

Just a few bite of Fro-yo ( Frozen Yogurt )

Could make my creative juicy flowing and my mojo is back !

Does it need to be particular froyo place ?

Yes ! 

I have 2 favorite place Yogurtini and Red mango 

I love white peach favor at Red Mango and Melon at Yogurtini.

But the best atmosphere for me is Yogurtini because they are mint green all the over ! 

Even yogurt spoon !

This kit comes with fun arrows mist able that I love very much.

and this embellish bubble.

I added wood veneer " Bliss " from Hey Day collection.

going on at Michaels about buy 1 get 1 half off for Copic Markers
I'm usually not a big fan of it because of the price then I though to myself.
Mmmmm this might be the sign that I should try 'em out.
So I did.
And love them !

I dig through my Crate Paper supplies box and found a lot of collection
from earlier this year that I haven't use yet.
One of my favorite is this Story Tellers collection.
Vintage look and vibrant color just caught my eyes and it's perfect for this photo.



Using chipboard sticker and of course a little bit of bling.

  

Cut out a big ampersand on cork pattern paper.
I use a few different type of alpha sticker for title.

Show off my glitter nails.

I've been crazy about new photo editing app on iPhone lately.

This " Snapster app " is so much fun !

With all the filters they have available and also filters that you can create yourself.

If you have seen a lot of paper crafts project out there.

" Ombre " technique is really famous.

So instead using it on my project I used on my photo and give me this sweet filter.

Here's a lay out I create using photo edited by Snapster app.

On this layout I use my currently most favorite October Afternoon Cakewalks collection.

It's such an adorable collection with all the bright and fun color.

On this layout I layered all the fun pattern papers together and I've found a new way to add more feminine look onto your layout.

Tulsa, OK

Another layout to share with you on Sunday.

Here is a layout I create from Tulsa trip photo.

Surprisingly there aren't that many people in downtown perfect place to shoot some zombies movies lol

Unlike downtown Denver that always busy.

I'm trying to quit using sewing machine on my projects but man , it's hard. 

Seems like I just have to deal with it and carry sewing machine with me everywhere for crop party ^_^

Remember the details

On our trip to Oklahoma there are so many little things that I'd like to capture.

All the distress shabby wall on old building.

A most quite downtown I've ever seen.

Churches.

Antique store. 

A lot of details. In over 103 F degree people still hanging out by the river.

What I did capture the most about this trip is " Food and restaurant "

Because we stayed in the hotel so I can't cook so we ate out every meal.

On this lay out it was the first restaurant we went to in Tulsa.

I love decor in this restaurant. It makes me feel so cozy.

Inspiration lace

There is something that always make me feel feminine every time when I see/use it.

" Lace "

So last weekend I came up with something that will help me create and bring out my inner feminine.

I called it " Inspiration Lace " 

All I did is putting random cuteness on a lace.

By cuteness I mean...stuff I use for scrapbooking and random things that found in my junk draw that could inspire. 

This  helps me a lot to get better at colors combination and make it's easy for me to create a project.

Working just like mood board.
