You are adorable !

Who's most adorable in you eyes ?
Your husband ?
Your kids ?
Your pet ?
Whoever they are.
Thanks them for making you smile.
- - - - - - -
I have make this card for my hubby.
I think he have a huge adorable side in him that most people can't see.
I'm glad that I get to see it.
And he said I'm the one who get his adorable side out of him.
Let's take a look at this card.
I know , I know it's PINK
but pink is perfect !
On this card I use stamp I bought from $1 bin at Michaels.
I'm seriously addicted to their $1 bin. So many cute stamp.
Make me wonder how could they sell them for $1 and still make profit ?

DSC07915

Then add glitter tape that cut in half. I make a slope cut to add some fun in to it.
Don't worry about this card will be to plain because
this dimensional flower sticker from Amy's sketch book collection totally
give it a break from being plain.
It's just pop right out !
In this period of time my most favorite thing to give my project
a little splattered effect is not ink but this lovely enamel.
Just love them so much ! Can actually use on all of the projects I'm working on.

Thank you so much everyone for stopping by.
You are adorable ! wink

Be anything You want to be

Hello everyone ^_^
It has been a crazy busy week for me.
With all the packing and unpacking it drains away all my creativity.
We aren't even talking about my sore shoulder muscle and
physically pain from lifting furniture here.
Anyway it's now almost over with.
I just have a little more to knick knack stuff to unpack
 ( mostly scrapbooking supplies lol ) .
Lately I'm so enjoy crafting.
It makes me think about this quote my dad always tell me since I was little
" You can be anything you want to be "
Yes he did told me that
and now it has come true.
I'm in love with what I'm doing.
I can actually called myself a crafter.
It's what I always wanted to be !
Then I found this quote label sticker.
Just caught my eyes and make me want to make this card for a good friend of mine.
Just to encourage her to be what she always wanted to be instead of wasting time do a job that she hate.
On this card I use PINK shade from the Sweetest Things collection ( My minds eye )
It's a mini card. about 3"x 2"
Use brads set and add a little fringe glitter I cut from glitter tape.

Here is closer look.

Melinda's Surprise Blog Hop

Welcome to Cooking With Cricut’s very special SURPRISE “Thank You” Blog Hop.
Why is it so special? There are a couple of reasons! The first reason
-- it is our 100th Cooking With Cricut challenge and the second (and most important)
is to thank our wonderful leader and “Executive Chef” Melinda Beltran.

Melin started the Cooking With Cricut challenges in October 2010
to encourage crafters to find new and different ways to use their Cricut cartridges.
And she has accomplished that and so much more!
She has given scores of crafters a place on her Design Teams
which quickly turned into a sisterhood of women,
who care for each other;
who encourage each other;
who lift each other and their families up in prayer;
and who have shared their hearts and their art through many outreach projects.

So this is our SURPRISE “Thank You” tribute to our beloved Melin!
If you came from Xochitl’s blog, Cricutcritter, you’re in the right place!
If you’ve joined us in mid-hop and would like to start at the beginning,
please head back to Cooking With Cricut
– you won’t want to miss any of these awesome cards!!

For my project.
We were actually assigned to make a thank you card for Melinda.
But my thankfulness for her is bigger than a card !
I have projects made for Cooking with Cricut
that published and will be publish at least in 5 magazines within one year.
If it wasn't because of cooking with Cricut challenge that encourage me to make a wonderful project.
I won't  have my name on Cricut Magazine ^_^
So a big thanks to you Melinda.
My project, instead of a card I made this embroidery hoop for her to reminded her how grateful I am.

DSC07807

On this project  I use polkadots fabrics that I have in sewing draws.
Cut the blue one using Simply Sweet cartridge.
< Thank you >
then hand drew flower and leaves.
Hand embroidered.
Take a closer look on these lovely flowers.

Use epoxy on your card.

Hello everyone !
It's almost weekend again.
My last visit to Archivers, I was looking for something triangle to use on my card
but hardly find anything that I like.
Then I ran into Epiphany Crafts square epoxy and it gives me an idea
how to use them to make my card "POP" with triangle object.
Let's take a look how I use them !
On this you are the best I use Crate Paper Little Bo Peep yellow flower pattern paper as card base.
Then I splattered black Mr.Huey ink on it.
For epoxy I use Crate Paper Pretty Party pattern paper and glitter tape under.
Cut them in half.

DSC07776

Let's take a closer look on this little things.

DSC07778

Tips
  • Square epoxy is very hard you might want to use some stronger scissor to cut them otherwise it might totally ruin your scissor.  ( I use Timholz scissor on them )
  • I've try to use glitter paper under epoxy but none of them are good so I tried glitter tape and they works like magic !
  • Make sure you stamp you sentiment before adhere epoxy ( this is very important )

Mushroom Pencils Pouch

Since I start quilting I've bought a lot of fabrics.
All kind of fabrics. Mostly organic cotton.
I could feel their texture when I touch them.
But I haven't really get a change to use them on quilt much
just some little projects here and there.
So I use this little mushroom fabric
to make a little drawstring pouch for pencils and stuff.

DSC07733

On this pouch simply make drawstring bag using white medium thick fabric.
Then I cut hearts using Doodle Charms cartridge on mushroom pattern fabric.
Then iron on to my bag.
Stamp sentiment.
I made this for " Back to School " Challenge on Cooking with Cricut blog.
So be sure to check out more inspiration on their blog !

Show off my glitter nails.

I've been crazy about new photo editing app on iPhone lately.
This " Snapster app " is so much fun !
With all the filters they have available and also filters that you can create yourself.
If you have seen a lot of paper crafts project out there.
" Ombre " technique is really famous.
So instead using it on my project I used on my photo and give me this sweet filter.
Here's a lay out I create using photo edited by Snapster app.
" Show off "
You can't really see what I show off on my photos.
Lemme tell ya. It's my Glitter nails !!
On this layout I use my currently most favorite October Afternoon Cakewalks collection.
It's such an adorable collection with all the bright and fun color.

DSC07575

On this layout I layered all the fun pattern papers together and I've found a new way to add more feminine look onto your layout.
" Gold embroidery floss. "

DSC07578

and check out this buttons from the collection. Aren't they sweet ?
Just like candy ! Wondering if there is any candies in this color in strawberry favor ?

Unlike downtown Denver that always busy.

I'm trying to quit using sewing machine on my projects but man , it's hard.

Remember the details

On our trip to Oklahoma there are so many little things that I'd like to capture.
All the distress shabby wall on old building.
A most quite downtown I've ever seen.
Churches.
Antique store.
A lot of details. In over 103 F degree people still hanging out by the river.
What I did capture the most about this trip is " Food and restaurant "
Because we stayed in the hotel so I can't cook so we ate out every meal.
On this lay out it was the first restaurant we went to in Tulsa.
" Mc Nellie "
I love decor in this restaurant. It makes me feel so cozy.

Take a closer look on the layout.

On this layout I use new Echo Park collection " Every Eclectic "
Love the bright and fun color that filled with a lot of cute stickers.
Thank for stopping by and have a great weekend everyone.

I can't resist mint green.

Do you know " Mint Green " ?
If you do please let she know that I'm in love with her ^_^
This summer there's a color that I see everywhere I go.
It's MintGreen. Green is actually not my favorite but this kind of green get me crazy !
Last week I ordered Hey Days Fabrips by Studio Calico It said aqua on the description.
But once I receive it. It blew my mind away !
I just have to use it right NOW. There are no business of me to make an invitation.
But who's care ? So I make this quick cut mini card.
" You are invited "
On this card I use special stamp that came out last month.
It's free when you order $100 worth of stuff on Studio Calico.
( That's more than my scrapbook supplies allowance so it's a secret between us, OK ? )
I cut out fabrips in to strip. Adhere onto white card stock then stamp with " You're invited " sentiment.

I have this lovely color ink pad Versa Magic Dew Drop that goes perfect with fabrips.
So I use it on confetti stamp.
Then inked all over Tweets Wood Veneer from Elmwood Park kit with Versa Magic Dew Drop Pink Grapefruit color.

Put the all together. Then you have it. A quick and easy invitation for any fun party.
I'm now looking for some Mint Green t-shirt. If you know where can I get it gimme a shout !
